Hatchets and roofing tools
Estwing’s hatchets and roofing tools comprise a set of different tools, all designed to get the
job done in a fast and easy manner.
The Estwing carpenter’s hatchet is a little big axe on the one side and a little hammer on the
other side of the tool’s head. The tool is being made of one solid piece of hardened steel for
exceptional strength and durability. Like all the other Estwing hammers, axes, hatchets and other tools, this
particular hatchet sports also a shock absorbing nylon vinyl grip, which reduces shocks on impact, thus being
gentle to hands and arms of the user. The hatchet is well balanced, which guarantees accuracy, power
and strain-free handling of the tool. On demand, you can avail of the same hatchet but with a
leather handle. All other specifications also apply to the leather carpenter’s
hatchet.
The shingler’s hammer made by Estwing also sports the shock reducing nylon vinyl grip. At
the same time, the hammer is also a forged one-piece tool, which ensures high durability. Its
blade and gauges are replaceable, while the other side of the tool’s head comes with a small hammer, which
has a serrated face to prevent gliding and sliding off the nail’s head during hammering. The tool is
balanced in an outstanding fashion for your convenience in working fast and
untiringly.
The Estwing rigger’s axe is the big brother of the Estwing carpenter’s hatchet. Like its
little brother, the hatchet, it is a forged and polished one-piece tool with a milled face and a shock
absorbing nylon vinyl grip, which provides optimal grip and absorbs shocks on impact. The blade comes
with a notched puller, making the axe a multi-purpose tool.
The Estwing shingler’s hatchet sports all characteristics of the above mentioned tools,
including the notched puller in the blade. Its gauge is replaceable as well. Its superb balance
provides long hours of strain-free handling.
The 7” roofing knife produced by Estwing is made of plated heavy gauge steel casing. With
its superb handling characteristics, you will be able to cut easily all shingles and rolled roofing.
The blades are replaceable, of course. On purchase, a set of extra blades is added to the
knife.
The entire line of Estwing’s roofing tools is designed to put you in the driver’s seat when it
comes to getting your roof ready. Almost each tool comes with multipurpose characteristics, which saves
you time and effort. You can do different kind of tasks with only one tool, like, for example,
hammering nails and pulling them. Having to use a hammer and an extra puller for the same procedure
would be time consuming in the long-run.
